Nestled between the world-class AVA’s of Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Maria Valley, Los Alamos Valley is considered by many to be one of the top emerging winegrowing areas in the state. The east-west orientation of the valley means the temperature averages 10 degrees warmer than Santa Maria and 10 degrees cooler than Santa Ynez — resulting in a perfectly balanced geography and climate. It’s from this unique terroir that the wines of Los Alisos obtain their exceptional flavor profiles.

Michael Fay was born in Italy, grew up in Southern California, and majored in Forestry Management and Enology at University of Washington and Cal Poly SLO. While living in Seattle, Michael got hooked on a 1994 Panther Creek Pinot Noir. "I loved wine and wanted to take my life in another direction. So one day I stumbled into a cellar and never left." As winemaker, Michael splits his time between the vineyards and the cellar. "Our goal is to produce wines that showcase the best of Santa Barbara and Los Alamos Valley."
